Story
Villa Schwarzenbach dates back to 1706 and looks back on a rich history. Until 1930, the Schwarzenbach estate was home to the descendants of the German aristocrats Petrus and Judith von Goerschen, members of an old German noble family known since the 12th century. Until 2014, the villa was owned by Denes Festetics de Tolna, a member of the Festetics family, whose history dates back to 1566. The Festetics were a noble and wealthy family that came to Austria-Hungary from Croatia and became famous as patrons of art and science. It is also worth mentioning that the garage, swimming pool and tower were built between 1974 and 1989 by the talented architect Heinz Karbus.
In the meantime, the current owner of the Schwarzenbach Villa has commissioned one of the leading construction companies in the Salzkammergut, the ZEBAU company, to renovate the property. The entire renovation was completed in 2020, with the contractors doing everything by hand to maintain the uniqueness of the property.
